Construction Superintendent
All locations
Supervise, coordinate and inspect the work of Trade Partners during the construction of a home. Oversee the overall production of homes to ensure compliance with production schedule and PCS Homes Zero-Defect Closing Policy.
Responsibilities: • Prepare construction schedule and coordinate Trade Partners’ work activities for each home. Report schedules to Production Manager. • Review and coordinate daily production schedules with Production Team Members and Trade Partners; revise and update as required. Monitor work progress and issues/problems to ensure timely completion of work. • Inspect and evaluate work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met. Conduct daily quality inspections in every room of each home to ensure the highest quality standards are met at each stage of production. • Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements. • Analyze and plan installation and construction of equipment and structures. • Assist Trade Partners to ensure that completed work is Front Stage quality. • Assist Trade Partners to resolve minor construction problems quickly to avoid construction delays. • Estimate material and worker requirements to complete job. Order materials for each unit and inspect materials for defects. Correct material discrepancies in a timely manner to avoid construction delays. • Complete assigned tasks according to the production schedule. • Hold Trade Partners accountable to PCS Homes and industry standard construction specifications. • Maintain job safety standards at all times and ensure compliance with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and PCS Homes safety standards. Conduct safety inspections as requested. • Complete inspections with local village/municipality to obtain certificate of occupancy. • Participate in production and community meetings, Pre-Dry Wall Walk inspections and Homeowner Orientations.
Requirements:
Experience level: Minimum 5 years high volume experience (100 plus deliveries per year) residential construction experience required.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
